Yan-Mei Li received her B.S. and master’s degrees in the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University of China in 1987 and 1989, respectively. In 1992, she completed her Ph.D. degree in the same department of Tsinghua University under the guidelines of Prof. Yu-Fen Zhao. During 1996-1997, she performed postdoctoral training at Karlsruhe University with Prof. Herbert Waldmann. She is now a professor in the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University. Currently, her research interests are focused on the synthesis of bioactive peptides and peptide conjugates, with the studies related to post-translational modification, such as phosphorylation, of proteins. Recent research interest also focuses on the chemical synthesis of vaccines and immunostimulants such as TLR agonists and STING agonists and their application in cancer immunotherapy. The research results are documented in ca. 200 communications, full papers, review articles and proceedings of conferences in science and technology, including PNAS, Angew Chem Int Ed, J Am Chem Soc, Chem Rev, Chem Sci. She is the associate editor of J Org Chem, the editorial advisory board of ACS Chem Bio. She was the associate editor of Chin Chem Lett, the editorial advisory board of Org Lett.
